**What you'll be doing**:
As an SDR, you will play a pivotal role in our sales process, assisting the VP of Business Development in every stage of the customer journey. You can engage in a wide range of sales activities, from prospecting and lead qualification to contract preparation and deal closing. This is an ideal position for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is eager to grow alongside our company.
Key Responsibilities:
**Top-of-Funnel Activities**:
- Conduct research to identify potential leads and build prospect lists.
- Work closely with marketing to ensure activities are generating qualified leads.
- Perform outbound outreach to engage with prospects.
- Qualify leads and schedule meetings.
**Middle-of-Funnel Activities**:
- Prepare sales presentations, proposals, and supporting materials.
- Follow up with prospects to keep them engaged throughout the sales process.
- Manage and maintain the CRM system, ensuring accurate data entry.
**Bottom-of-Funnel Activities**:
- Assist in drafting and negotiating contracts and agreements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to finalize deals.
- Track deal progress and ensure timely follow-ups to close opportunities.
**Post-Sales Support**:
- Ensure a smooth handoff to the consulting team.
- Participate in key consulting meetings to uncover future opportunities with the client.
- Capture client impact stories and work with marketing to share with new and existing Darkhorse fans.
**Sales Operations**:
- Monitor and report on key sales metrics.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and improve sales processes.
**What we look for...**:
- **Experience**: 3+ years of experience in consultative sales, with a proven track record of contributing to selling high-value consulting projects.
- **Relationship Building**: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build strong relationships with clients and team members.
- **Detailed, Organized and Analytically Oriented**: Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to think analytically are important for success in this role.
- **Executive Support**: Ability to support the VP to optimize team productivity.
- **Cross-Functional Collaboration**: The person in this role will also coordinate with marketing, consulting, or finance teams to streamline the sales process.
- **Versatility and Proactivity**: Given the smaller team size, the role requires adaptability and the ability to anticipate what's needed next.
