**Ivaco Rolling Mills** is looking for an **Electrical Maintenance Manager **to join its Team

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, as an **Electrical Maintenance Manager**, you supervise and direct the maintenance team to ensure electrical equipment maintenance at the Steel Plant to meet safety, quality, efficiency, cost and service objectives.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Ensures safe work practices and procedures.
- Performs safety audit.
- Ensures that all employees are trained on job requirements before permanent assignment. A team of around 25 people.
- Searches for new material to update training for all employees.
- Ensures implementation of Company training programs and development of department’s personnel.
- Informs subordinators of performance expectations.
- Monitors and evaluates performance and coaches as necessary.
- Ensures compliance to Company regulations and policies. Ensures the usage of corrective measures/discipline on violations.
- Defines Department Quality Standards and ensures all employees are aware of standards and new requirements.
- Ensures ISO procedures are current and adhered to for the department.

**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Observe all safety rules.
- Determines the repairs required, using reports and schedules, determines work schedules, plans shutdown and repairs.
- Reports and investigates all accidents with an aim to prevent reoccurrence.
- Informs employees of expectations.
- Assigns tasks, communicates work schedule and deadlines, set, and defines priority, reports on delays. Initiates preventive/corrective actions to meet deadlines.
- In coordination with his supervisor attempts to settle concerns/interpretation disputes at his own level and applies provisions of the Collective agreements.
- Ensures timekeeping is approved on a weekly basis.
- Implement World Class Manufacturing (WCM) techniques to drive continuous improvement towards achieving Zero loss state in the manufacturing process
- Coordinate and execute weekly shutdown Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks in accordance with the maintenance planner to eliminate backlog and perform measure prior to PM need date.
- Must strive to become expert in the area of responsibility.

**QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS**
- Industrial Engineering I Electrical Engineering
- 5 years of relevant experience in Industrial Maintenance field
- Qualified and Red Seal certified trades person
- In-depth knowledge Melt Shop / Rod Mill process **preferred
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong commitment to Health & Safety
- Bilingual: English and French (oral and written) **preferred
