As a Quality System Specialist, you will report to the Quality Control Manager. You must establish, evaluate, and maintain the Quality Management System including compliance to all QMS programs through internal auditing and follow-up on all non-conformances in order to meet health and safety, quality, efficiency, service and cost objectives.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Ensures safe work practices and procedures.
- Performs safety audits.
- Reviews process and equipment modifications to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Ensures implementation of Company training programs and development of department’s personnel.
- Ensures that all quality department personnel under his/her supervision are properly trained in their respective position and have a signed training document on file.
- Ensures compliance with Company regulations and policies. Ensures the usage of corrective measures and disciplines on violations.
- Observe all safety rules.
- Responsible for the development of IRM’s Quality Management System to meet customer and internal requirements at a competitive cost.
- As management representative for the Quality Management System, prepares for management review, a summary of QMS effectiveness as compared to company quality objectives, preventive and corrective actions taken, and results of internal audits.
- Manages the Internal Audit Program to ensure compliance with ISO Standards. Selects, evaluates, and trains internal auditors.
- Ensures conformance to quality standards and initiates preventive and corrective measures.
- Ensures ISO procedures are current and adhered to in the department.
- May recommend changes to process.
- Creates and maintains QA control documentation.
- Promotes quality performance improvement across the Company.
- Ensuring quality control documentation is compiled and completed in a timely matter.
- Performing and reviewing internal QA audits that are compliant with company policies, practices, and procedures.
- Be one of the owners/administers of the upcoming QMS software and promote its use throughout the company.

**QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS**
- 3-5 years’ industrial experience in quality assurance
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 & TS 16949 *preferred
- Strong interpersonal and leadership Skills
- Open minded and adapt quickly to change.
- Strong team player and excellent communication Skills
- Must have the ability to coordinate work amongst multiple groups.
- Demonstrated planning and organizing skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software
- Bilingualism (French/English) - both written and spoken *required
