Purpose: Why you’re here at Brown Bag Films
- To provide operational support to the business and legal affairs team by assisting with the efficient generation and administration of contracts and other documents, and the maintenance of contractual rights and obligations.

Delivery: What you produce
- Letters, spreadsheets and tracking documents, communications, and documents to support legal and business affairs needs
- Updated corporate minute books
- Legal administration (e.g. sending letters and couriers, filing, maintaining information databases and access)

Measurements: How we measure it
- On-time delivery of tasks, documents and communications
- Accuracy and effectiveness of correspondence and documents
- Feedback from business partners and stakeholders

**Key Responsibilities**
- Responsibilities: What you are regularly responsible for doing
- Creating and/or updating existing spreadsheets and tracking documents summarizing varying rights and obligations (e.g. org charts, option agreements, trademark portfolio);
- Drafting correspondence;
- General administrative work for members of the legal team, including sending couriers, scanning and filing; sending contracts for execution;
- Setting up and maintaining legal document retention and access in Sharepoint;
- Updating corporate minute books;
- Incorporating companies and assisting with other corporate filings (e.g. amendments, amalgamations);
- Assisting with copyright registrations;
- Assist with data impact assessments and periodic reviews of compliance with privacy and data retention policies;
- Assisting with maintenance and tracking of company general insurance policies and providing certificates to stakeholders;
- Reviewing agreements and preparing summaries upon request;
- Collaborating with the global legal team to develop and implement legal policies, procedures, templates and best practices.

- Knowledge
- A bachelor’s degree
- Some knowledge of entertainment law; preferably in the area of tv or film development, production and/or licensing.
- Experience
- Some experience drafting letters and doing general administrative work;
- Preference for some experience with legal work, especially in a film or television production or distribution environment;
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Behaviours - to be developed separately
- Able to multi-task under pressure, handle a varied, high-volume workload efficiently and smoothly and operate autonomously within corporate parameters
- Able to build strong internal client relationships, effectively advise senior-level executives under conditions of uncertainty, high-pressure and/or high-risk and generate strong client satisfaction through quick turnaround and firm decision-making
- Collaborative, positive and team-centric
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, organizational and computer skills
