**Role Responsibilities**:

We are searching for an investigator with a broad range of investigative and land management experience to join our dynamic newly created Crown Land Enforcement Section within the Environmental Enforcement Branch. Reporting to the Crown Land Enforcement Team Lead, you will play a pivotal role in leading complex investigations related to land and range management.

As an investigator, you will be the go-to specialist for land management-based investigations and enforcement for the Forestry and Parks Division. Your responsibilities include conducting regulatory investigations, implementing policies and procedures, and providing specialized training to various government departments. Working closely with stakeholders, including provincial lands officers, agrologists, conservation officers, and legal experts, you will ensure fair, consistent, and timely outcomes for investigations that may have quasi-judicial or judicial implications.

This role demands a high level of expertise in legislation, investigative skills, and experience in dealing with multifaceted, politically sensitive cases. Your efforts will contribute significantly to the enforcement of environmental laws and development of processes and procedures, making a lasting impact on the preservation of our province's land and biodiversity.

As the investigator, you will oversee the development and execution of investigations related to the Public Lands Act, Forest Reserves Act and Parks Act, you will collaborate with a network of professionals to ensure investigations adhere to legislative requirements and result in fair, efficient and effective outcomes.

In this role, you will collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders, from provincial lands officers, agrologists, conservation officers to legal experts, ensuring that investigations align with legislation, policies, and procedures. Your expertise will extend to major case management, prosecutions, and the development of creative orders, contributing to land management and regulatory framework.
