**Description**

The **Dean's Office** in the **Faculty of Social Work** is currently seeking a Full-time Regular **Manager, Marketing**.

The Manager, Marketing leads and manages the team that is responsible for developing and implementing the overall Faculty of Social Work marketing, recruitment, and digital communications including brand management, student recruitment, advertising and marketing, website content, special events and internal communications that is tailored for our diverse targeted audiences. The Manager is also responsible for contributing to the marketing strategies for the Faculty of Social Work alumni relations, advancement, recruitment initiatives and will strategically maintain the online platforms for its campuses in Calgary, Edmonton, and Lethbridge and its teams.

This position reports to the Director, Strategic Operations, with strong links to the Office of Communications and Community Engagement, including the VP of Communications and Community Engagement and is located at the Calgary campus, however, some participation in off-campus activities including travel to other social work campuses may be required.

**Summary of Key Responsibilities** (job functions include but are not limited to):

- Develop and execute integrative recruitment strategy, supporting plans and budgets in collaboration with the Academic Leadership team, Student Services and Manager, Student Services.
- Lead the recruitment efforts of high-caliber prospective undergraduate and graduate students through the development and coordination of recruitment activities. This includes information sessions, Open House, graduate fairs, professional fairs, regional/national/international recruitment activities, meeting with prospective students both individually and in groups, and other activities.
- Lead the planning, execution, and management of presentations at public information sessions and other event-related recruitment initiatives.
- Lead the Recruitment Committee meetings and provide regular updates to committee members, Senior Leadership team, at appropriate faculty governance meetings, and Annual Planning Days.
- Collaborate and engage with colleges that have transfer agreements and collaborate with secondary school boards in various locations to attend their education fairs.
- Work with the Faculty's Communications team to develop and update effective marketing /recruitment strategy (print, web, and social media formats) and supporting materials, including information session presentations, internal platform management, and other recruitment presentations, and supplementary recruiting materials, as required.
- Build and manage a rich recruitment content / marketing editorial calendar that attracts a qualified audience of future students to our owned properties.
- Identify prospective students and manage one-on-one ongoing contact and engagement throughout the recruitment and admission process.
- Actively track prospective students via the CRM and other associated systems.
- Actively maintain a presence across key social media accounts, including LinkedIn, Google, etc.
- Manage prospective student contact and collaborate with Student Services to track interest to conversion to acceptance or denial.
- Reports to manager for Digital Communications Specialist.
- Provides strong leadership and management of Digital Communications Specialist, including recruitment, training, assigning and directing work, and evaluation and performance management.
- Works with Senior Communications Manager and the Digital Communications Specialist on the faculty's social media plan that integrates strategic communications and marketing.
- Develop and maintain productive relationships within the Faculty of Social Work, including the Dean's office, the Academic Support offices, Associate Deans, Program Directors, and functional area managers and directors as well as vendors.
- Represent the Faculty at the Recruitment and Admissions (RAD) Team, and Faculty of Graduate Studies meetings.
- Develop a comprehensive undergraduate and graduate student recruitment plan that aligns with the University's and the Faculty's strategic direction and priorities. The plan will include recruitment targets, locations of focus, and types of activity and materials that will promote the University of Calgary as a destination of choice for a quality undergraduate or graduate education through various media and in person events.
- Execute an annual business plan to drive recruitment growth as measured by key performance indicators, including program enrolment.
- Make recommendations to managers and leaders on development and improvement of processes, policies, and procedures.
- Provide regular updates, including written reports and data analysis, related to plans and campaigns, ensuring integrated marketing analysis is informing and showing impact across social media channels, website activities, and events.
