Staff Scheduling Coordinator

**Position Overview**
- Acts as a systems support person to their assigned Health Services (primary area of coverage - Medicine Inpatient) to ensure that all nursing units are adequately staffed in a cost-efficient manner at all times.
- Functions collaboratively with nursing leadership teams and point of care staff across the health service and other support services to ensure adherence to appropriate collective agreements, scheduling policies and models of care.
- Works with Staffing Office Clerks to manage staffing workflows both in the defined units as well as across other units as required.
- Upholds human and material resources by demonstrating knowledge and skill in the facilitation, organization, and analysis of information to optimize staff scheduling.
- Is accountable for personal development and their respective individual activities.
- Understands and supports the hospital mission.

**Education**
- Diploma or degree required (Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science,
- Mathematics or Human Resources preferred).

**Qualifications/Experience**
- Experience with ANSOS or other electronic scheduling systems an asset.
- Computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Teams, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
- Experience building and optimizing schedules and master rotations preferred.
- Experience working with Labor Relations to interpret and implement Collective Agreements.
- Self-directed with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written.
- Proven decision-making, negotiating, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
- Previous hospital experience an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to manage conflicting priorities and confidential data.
- Excellent work and attendance record required.

**Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a requirement of the job unless you have an exemption pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code.
