Calgary, Canada Trafigura Full time

Main Purpose:
Documentation Review & Negotiation: Able to negotiate master agreements such as, but not limited to, EEIs, ISDAs, CSAs, NAESBs and trade confirmations with a range of counterparties for Trafigura globally.

Advisory: Advise internal departments on matters related to master agreements

Documentation Management: Maintain global agreement status tracker and contract management system

Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:

- Experience: 2-5 years experience in ISDA negotiation especially in the area of US Gas + Power trading
- General knowledge of common law legal principles
- Familiar with commodity and financial derivatives
- Some experience in reviewing parent company guarantees
- Experience with Carbon, RECs and other commodities is a plus
- Self-starter who is detail-oriented, hard-working, flexible and able to build relationships across departments
- Confident and effective communicator who is able to relay legal concepts to the business;
- Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines, rigorous with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency and can prioritize various requests simultaneously
- Able to work independently
- Excel and Word/Outlook competent
- Excellent English verbal and written communication

Key Responsibilities:

- Review and negotiate various master agreements such as EEIs, ISDAs, NAESBS, EFETS, BFOEs in commodity lines ranging from gas & power to carbon and renewables
- Engage with counterparties as and when needed to get the agreement to completion
- Act as documentation co-ordinator and facilitator, identify and resolve internal / external blockages
- Advises all areas of business on legal concepts in the master agreements as and when required
- Follow industry developments
- Manage contract management system, maintain templates for all agreement types
- Maintain global agreements tracker and participate in weekly working groups
- Participate in ad-hoc projects and systems development
