Position Overview:
Reporting to the Global Service Management Office (SMO) Manager, the Configuration Management DataBase (CMDB) Analyst is responsible for the operational implementation, integration, maintenance, road-mapping, and development of Finning’s global Configuration Management Database (CMDB). With day-to-day leadership from the Global Change and CMDB Manager, this role works closely with stakeholders from across all of Finning’s global operations to maintain the integrity of the CMDB, manage Configuration Items (CIs) and ensure appropriate access controls are in place.

**Job Description**:
Major Job Functions
- Process Excellence_
- Collaborate with global colleagues to ensure the CMDB is complete, current and accurate. Day-to-day maintenance of the Global Configuration Management DataBase (CMDB), discovery schedules, and audit.
- Track and manage Business, Technical and Application Services across the estate including the mapping to Configuration Items.
- Continually assess integration points for validity, accuracy, and utilization.
- Supporting the onboarding of new 3rd party vendors performing changes on behalf of Finning.
- Ensuring the adherence to all core Change and CMDB governance processes.
- Measure & Improve_
- Support the process to ensure SLAs and OLAs are reported, published and met by support teams and collaborate across D&IT to continuously improve outcomes. Meeting or exceeding SLAs set with the business related to timeliness of service delivery, cost, quality of service and overall satisfaction.
- Identify and drive opportunities for cost savings or efficiencies through data analysis.
- Projects Excellence_
- Support project implementations within role responsibilities.
- Service Management Office support_
- Provide support and backup for Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings.
- Support the Problem process with relevant data, reporting and inputs to Root Cause Analysis documents.
- Creation of process documentation relevant to job role.

Qualifications for the Role:

- 3+ years of progressive, related experience with CMBD best practices.
- Broad cross-discipline knowledge in networks, infrastructure, and IT security.
- Cost/benefit and business analysis
- Skilled at IT service management and ITSM measurement models, support and best practices
- ITIL certification (minimum ITIL v3 or v4 Foundation)
- Experience with IT Event Management is an asset
- Knowledge of ServiceNow is an asset
- Ability to speak Spanish is an asset
- Post-secondary education in a related technology field
