- Take ownership of the Configuration Management process, defining policies, procedures, and standards for configuration identification, control, and reporting.
- Lead and mentor Service Providers, ensuring effective collaboration and the achievement of team goals.
- Develop and implement a long-term strategic plan for configuration management, aligning it with the organization's business objectives.
- Continuously assess and improve the configuration management process to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
- Create and maintain configuration documentation, including version control, change history, and CI relationships.
- Ensure that the configuration management process complies with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Prepare for and support audits.
- Establish and maintain a robust change control process, overseeing the impact assessment and approval of proposed changes.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of the Configuration Management process and share it with the leadership team.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with configuration changes, with a focus on minimizing disruptions and vulnerabilities.
- Effectively communicate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment with configuration management goals and priorities.
- Oversee process compliance through training, monitoring, reporting, and issue resolution.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all Configuration Items and produce various automated reports on Configuration Management activities for operational improvement and management review.
- Stay current on configuration management industry best practices and trends. Incorporate appropriate emerging practices.

**Who You Are**:

- A bachelor’s degree or college diploma with ITIL V3 or V4 Expert certified is an asset.
- Configuration Management Principles: In-depth knowledge of configuration management principles and best practices, including configuration identification, control, status accounting, and audit.
- ITIL Framework: Understanding of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework, especially in the context of Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and Common Services Data Model (CSDM).
- Industry Standards: Familiarity with industry standards and compliance requirements related to configuration management, such as ISO 27001.
- Configuration Management Tools: Proficiency in configuration management tools within ServiceNow, including knowledge of their features and capabilities.
- Change Management: Knowledge of change management processes and methodologies, with an emphasis on assessing the impact of configuration changes.
- Risk Management: Understanding of risk management in the context of configuration management, including risk assessment, mitigation, and contingency planning.
- Auditing and Compliance: Knowledge of auditing principles and compliance requirements for configuration management, and the ability to prepare for and support audits.
- Data Analysis: Strong data analysis skills to interpret configuration data, identify trends, and generate key performance indicators (KPIs).
- IT Infrastructure and Technologies: A comprehensive understanding of IT infrastructure components, technologies, and architectures.
- Communication: Effective communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with configuration management goals.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve configuration-related issues and challenges.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail when managing configuration documentation and data.
- Analysis and Reporting: Strong analytical skills to generate reports on configuration data, trends, and KPIs for informed decision-making.
- Project Management: Project management skills to plan, execute, and oversee configuration management initiatives and projects.
- Time Management: Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
