Manager Facility Operations

**Hours of work**: Monday-Friday, 22.5 hours/week
**Salary Range**: $34,800 - $40,800

We collaborate with communities, partner organizations, and donors to fund programs and provide supports to address the daily and often urgent health care needs families face when caring for a child with complex health challenges. Our crucial fundraising work began with inpatient support for kids with polio and other physical health challenges in 1927 and has evolved with every emerging health care need in the decades since. **Who we’re looking for**:
Our team is growing, and we are looking to hire a **Manager of Facility Operations & IT**. The Manager is responsible for both the Foundation’s operating facilities and new property developments as those projects arise, both independently and in collaboration with other investors and stakeholders. Technically, this position holds the responsibility of managing the Foundation’s assets, technical systems, and cyber security to protect and maintain the integrity of data collected, and to ensure systems are working appropriately, enabling team members to perform their tasks efficiently.

**Responsibilities of the position**:
**Facilities Management**
- Manage all contracts and contractual relationships for property management at the Foundation’s operating facilities
- Attend quarterly tenants’ meetings, parking meetings, and follow up on tenant requests
- Research and provide recommendations on effective space utilization for CHF properties as required
- Oversee the maintenance of the Foundation’s Home Away from Homes and related assets to ensure the safety and upkeep of the homes while working in collaboration with House Managers
- Develop and manage the preventative maintenance schedule for CHF managed sites and assists property management contractor as required
- Respond to requests and emergencies associated with CHF properties and facilities, ensuring that issues are resolved in a timely manner
- Provide advice to internal staff on maintenance processes, policies and practices
- Recommend capital improvements as directed by depreciation reports
- Assist with capital construction process of new project builds or renovations that the Foundation embarks on exclusively or with other funders
- Work with the Director of Finance to develop annual plans and budgets for property and facility management
**Information Technology**
- Ensure that all technical issues are addressed with the contracted IT service provider and follow up with internal employees as required
- Review and research new software requests, solicit feedback from the IT contractor, and provide final recommendation
- Maintain equipment and assets in good working order
- Maintain the capital asset tracking system
- Stay on top of technological trends to ensure the Foundation’s systems are up-to-date and operating efficiently
- Safeguard the Foundation’s information through effective cyber-security
- Ensure the Foundation is following privacy legislation and has appropriate data collection policies
**Required skills & experience**
- Extensive knowledge of and experience with computer systems, particularly with Office365, Adobe and database programs. Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge Software is an asset
- Advanced IT acumen, including experience maintaining technical systems and equipment
- Well-versed in facilities, building maintenance, and contractor management
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload, managing multiple tasks with tight timelines in a busy work environment
- Proven initiative, judgement, decision making, and problem solving capabilities
