**Why this role is significant.**

The Facilities Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operations of the resort. You will address a variety of maintenance tasks, encompassing routine preventative maintenance, timely repairs, and system monitoring. The Facilities Technician proactively helps identify and address potential issues before they escalate, contributing to the overall efficiency and longevity of resort facilities.

**A day in the life.**
- Complete daily, weekly, monthly, and annual tasks as directed by the Facilities Manager and General Manager.
- Complete daily pool and hot tub checks, monitoring chemical and sanitation levels.
- Perform repair work on resort buildings and equipment (e.g., painting, carpentry, etc.).
- Perform maintenance of electrical systems (e.g., replace light bulbs, clean/repair circuit breaker panels, etc.).
- Assist in ventilation, refrigeration, and other system maintenance.
- Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
- Complete pest control activities (e.g., inspection, treatment, etc.).
- Inspect alarm systems and have full knowledge of emergency procedures.
- Assist in monitoring all work being performed by outside contractors.
- Maintain building supplies and equipment to ensure they are used and serviced properly and in ample supply.
- Maintain the exterior of the hotel, including landscaping, parking areas, and walkways.
- Clear snow, ice, and debris from sidewalks and parking lots as needed.
- Complete additional tasks or responsibilities to ensure the seamless operations of the resort.

**What you bring to the team.**
- Proven experience as a Maintenance or Facilities Technician.
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance procedures.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- You have a strong attention to detail and ability to manage your time.
- You possess a strong work ethic and are committed to delivering exceptional service.
- Ability to perform physical work, stand for long periods of time, and lift heavy objects.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- You have reliable transportation to and from Brentwood Bay.
