**Job Summary**:
**Duties**:

- Deficiency Inspections of all facilities at least weekly. Oversee completion and documentation of routine maintenance ensuring that daily, weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance reports are completed for each area.
- Update maintenance programs as needed in response to changing needs of facilities, programs or regulatory requirements
- Direct supervision of the maintenance team including custodians, mechanics, and ice facility staff.
- Full cycle management of the maintenance team including hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, discipline, and ongoing performance management.
- Ensure training programs, procedures and check sheets are kept up to date and adapt or write policies as required ensuring that files are kept current on the company server and in employee-accessible areas for reference and use.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors for repairs, installations, and other facility-related projects
- Provide thoughtful schedules for maintenance staff taking into consideration employee needs, efficiency, facility maintenance requirements and the needs of our users for each booking and event. This involves working closely with the Bookings Coordinator and Events Coordinator to understand the needs of each booking and event and preparing detailed pre-and post-event directions for staff.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment; Ensure safe use of chemicals and equipment, and oversee that annual safety training is completed and documented on time.
- Oversee that all maintenance staff have required certification to do their job safely and in compliance with all regulatory agencies.
- Oversee completion and documentation of routine maintenance ensuring that daily, weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance reports are completed for each area.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, expenses, and equipment performance; oversee inventories, ordering, and rotation of parts and supplies for maintenance department; prepare reports such as maintenance summaries and capital and operating budget requests.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Facilities Manager or similar role (minimum 5 years management experience)
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing). Preference will be given to applicants with experience in mechanics, custodial, building maintenance, carpentry, construction, refrigeration or HVAC.
- Proficient in English (both written and verbal)
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think analytically
- Ability to lift a minimum of 40lbs
- Ability to supervise a team effectively and provide clear direction
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

**Working Conditions**:Work is performed throughout all facilities at City Centre Park. Significant office work is required. Hours may vary; days, evenings and weekends. Physical labour including cleaning and heavy lifting may be required. Job hazards may include slips, and cuts, but injuries are seldom serious.

**Salary**: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
