As a not-for-profit corporation, we take pride in administering two of Canada's top 100 pension plans—the Public Employees Pension Plan (PEPP), the country’s largest defined contribution plan, and the Municipal Employees' Pension Plan (MEPP). We serve over 900 employers and more than 105,000 plan members, everyone from small-town firefighters to crown corporation executives.
**The Opportunity**
Plannera is seeking a motivated, resourceful, detail
- and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Pension Assistant. As a dedicated team of pension professionals, we provide clear and timely information to our customers while safeguarding their personal and private information and ensuring the accuracy of our pension administration systems. Our office hours are Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm.
As a Pension Assistant, you will:
- Prepare member correspondence and process out-going mail for the branch;
- Update systems with information from plan members and employers to ensure accuracy of our records;
- Provide coverage for reception as required, including:
- Screening and re-directing telephone calls to the appropriate unit;
- welcoming members coming into the office and referring them to the appropriate staff;
- Respond to inquiries from employers and members; and
- Perform other administrative tasks as assigned.
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Have strong interpersonal and communication skills in order to provide respectful and professional client service to both internal and external customers;
- Have strong organizational skills to ensure all work is performed in accordance with service standards;
- Ability to adapt to meet changing priorities.
Typically, the knowledge and experience required to achieve the above is obtained through:
- Enrolment in post-secondary business administration program; or
- Experience in an administrative or a financial services customer service role.
- An equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered.
