**Research and Knowledge Translation Coordinator - Canada Summer Jobs**

Community Living Ontario is a not-for-profit, provincial confederation, which advocates for, promotes, and facilitates the full participation, inclusion and citizenship of people who have an intellectual disability. We are a progressive leader in the developmental services sector, representing approximately 80,000 individuals and families, through over 100 member organizations.

We are seeking a temporary **Research and Knowledge Translation Coordinator** to assist with building our knowledge base related to housing, mental health, direct funding, supports for decision-making, and other key issues relevant to people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role reports to the Director of Social Policy and Strategic Initiatives.

**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Identify research, in Canada and internationally, relevant to the policy priorities of Community Living Ontario.
- Review existing research, extract key data and information, and contribute to the creation of policy and communications products.
- Assist with the creation of short reports and stories for the weekly Update Friday newsletter.
- Facilitate the dissemination of research information and findings. This could include developing presentations, infographics, toolkits, summary sheets, etc.

**Development Opportunities**:

- Be a current or recent senior undergraduate or graduate student at the university level, with an emphasis on social issues relevant to marginalized populations.
- Have experience with evidence-based analysis, literature reviews, systematic reviews, and critical appraisal of information.
- Have strong English written and oral communication skills, and the ability to write clearly for non-scientific audiences.
- Have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a virtual environment.
- Be self-directed, with a positive attitude and able to work independently or with a team.

**Working Conditions**:

- Flexible work location including Toronto CLO office and home office
- 14 weeks, 30 hours per week
- $18 per hour

**Applicants Must**
- Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada
- Submit a cover letter with their resume
- Produce a clean criminal reference check, which includes vulnerable sector screening
