**Profile**:
Reporting to the Manager, Program Evaluation and Impact Reporting, the Associate, Program Evaluation and Knowledge Mobilization will play an essential role in supporting the implementation of evidence in MODC’s programs and services, while also enhancing relationships between the KTA unit and frontline staff. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting program evaluation activities including designing and conducting evaluations, disseminating findings and support capacity building across the organization in outcome and evidence-based practice. The incumbent will participate in the creation and implementation of an integrated knowledge translation approach to research and continuous improvement initiatives.

It is expected the incumbent be knowledgeable and experienced in program evaluation, integrated knowledge translation (IKT) principles and research methodologies. It is an asset if the incumbent has experience working with people living with disability or vulnerable populations within the community service sector or health sector.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Works closely with the Manager, Program Evaluation and Impact Reporting to design and execute program evaluation and knowledge mobilization activities.
- Develop and implement program evaluations and monitoring activities across the organization using various evaluation approaches, data collection methodologies, reporting and knowledge dissemination.
- Facilitate and support outcome measurement and evaluation needs with service teams, and support building evaluation capacity across the organization.
- Champion and directly support the implementation of quality improvement activities, as well as evaluation approaches within service units to sustain improvements.
- Understand service and organizational goals for improvement and connect these ideas to the KTA framework and approach.
- Build quality improvement capacity across MODC management and frontline service delivery teams.
- Support and encourage teams to share their improvements and lessons learned with others across the organization through knowledge translation and dissemination mediums and approaches.
- Deliver study findings to senior management and front-line staff and collaboratively develop evidence-informed recommendations for program delivery.
- Develop professional relationships with service delivery teams, professional practice leaders, program delivery staff, and national knowledge to action colleagues/networks.
- Enhance relationships across service delivery units, regional teams, and provincial/national programs to build awareness and coordinate efforts in advancing the KTA function of MODC.
- Help others understand and work towards key initiatives that advance knowledge generation, evidence informed practice and knowledge translation.
- Generate knowledge translation products in addition to writing reports, manuscripts and conference presentations.
- Support research, program evaluation and monitoring activities within the Knowledge to Action (KTA) unit.
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Master’s degree (preferred) in a health-related or social sciences field. Course work in program evaluation will be considered an asset.
- 2+ years experience in program evaluation. Must have experience conducting and supporting program evaluation activities.
- 2+ years experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods.
- Experience working in research in the community and social service sector or health sector is an asset.
- Experience presenting research and evaluation results and analysis to different stakeholder groups (including health care professionals, academic researchers, service providers and clients)
- Experience interacting with clients, their caregivers and vulnerable populations.
- Familiarity with disability issues is an asset.
- Strong communication and presentation skills (written and verbal).
