We provide corporate trust and claims administration services to major corporations in both the private and public markets as well as governments and institutions. Our portfolio includes innovative offerings in corporate trust and escrow (managing assets and debt), class actions and mass tort (facilitating the administration of large legal cases) and bankruptcy administration (assisting with the wind up or restructure of businesses experiencing difficulties).

**A role you will love**

Under the supervision of the Manager, Class Actions Services, the Class Actions Case Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of class action settlements in which RicePoint has been retained to administer. Provides assistance to the Manager and Vice Presidents when requested and provides daily support to the Case Coordinators. Responsibilities include project management and direct oversight of court-imposed duties and services on class action settlements from inception through completion. The Case Specialist provides direct supervision and guidance for members of their assigned administrative teams as well as coordinates with Operations and other departments to effectively manage all project requirements.

**Primary Accountabilities**:

- Overall responsibility for ensuring the requirements of the cases/projects are satisfied.
- In conjunction with the Manager, Class Actions Services, communicate, coordinate and report requirements and status of all assigned projects in a timely manner with clients.
- Integrate project administration requirements and milestones into a project plan for the entire project lifecycle.
- Responsible for ensuring all project issues are identified and resolved appropriately.
- Responsible for defining project processing procedures.
- Responsible for reviewing and signing off on case court declarations.
- Responsible for reviewing and signing off disbursement of funds and ensuring execution.
- Resource planning and scheduling
- Responsible for ensuring governing documents (e.g. Court Orders, Settlement Agreements, and contracts) are complied with during the life of the project.
- Manage project costs: forecast and manage budgets.
- Review and approve staff time.
- Review and approve client invoices.
- Other duties or tasks as assigned by management.

**Some other key skills that you’ll have**:

- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or
- At least one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to deal with conflicting demands under pressure.
- Sets strong ethical standards with integrity, honesty, and trustworthiness in all professional relationships.
- Experience working in a team-oriented and collaborative environment, encouraging the adoption and continuous improvement of practices.
- Bilingual (French and English)
