**Job Description**:
Canam is seeking a **Project Manager Assistant** to support and assist the Hambro North America Project Management Department, based in our Canam Calgary location.
- Assist Project Managers with various day to day activities, such as setting up meetings, updating calendars, assisting other construction site personnel, etc.
- Assist in coordination of supply and installation of deck packages
- Document control and management
- Project controls: assist with material procurement, fabrication scheduling, delivery confirmation
- Cost and budget tracking and job cost analysis and invoicing, as well as managing purchase orders
- Schedule and lead team meetings and update travel calendars
- Arrange travel and accommodation for team members throughout North America
- Project schedule adherence: assist in monitoring the project schedule and progress
- Meeting minutes and documentation: attend meetings and kick offs with internal and external customers
- Project management monthly report generation
- Change management: support PMs with extras and back charges document control
- Contract administration support and collaboration
- Site project personnel assistance
- Support and lead various ad hoc projects
- Occasional travel with short notice

**Qualifications**:

- The ability to effectively multitask and manage multiple priorities (essential)
- Exceptional organizational and English communication skills (verbal and written)
- French language skills would be considered an asset
- Regular and reliable attendance; ability to work overtime and occasional travel to job sites
- Working knowledge of Google Suite, Smart Sheets, Microsoft Office, Project and other software
- Valid driver’s license
- Education and/or experience in Business Administration would be considered an asset
- Punctuality, maturity, reliability, and ability to work well under pressure with frequent interruptions while delivering exceptional customer service is essential to excel in this role

**Work environment**:
Working safely is a condition of employment at Canam. General office and constant exposure to computer display. Safety PPE (personal protective equipment) must be worn while onsite (steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses, etc.) Daily interaction with construction site personnel, managers and other team members.
