**Job Summary**

We are currently looking for an HR/Payroll Coordinator who will oversee and perform in the administration of the company’s overall Human Resources, Payroll & Benefits services for all hourly employees in all IPEX Western Canadian Plants.

**Principal Responsibilities**
- Administer and process payroll submissions for all hourly employees at all IPEX Edmonton and Langley Locations in accordance with each particular pay schedule.
- Receives & computes all payroll and converts documents into computer acceptable form.
- Ensures that data input and files are entered as required in order to maintain proper payroll schedules.
- Respond to enquiries regarding Retirement Benefits
- Administer and support Corporate & Location Human Resources practices and policies.
- Administers basic Short-Term Disability (STD) Claims, with support from the Edmonton MSC & Langley Admin Support Position when reasonably required.
- Manage the employee database and filing system
- Researches and prepares all employment verifications
- Recognizes and endeavors to have supervisors’ correct errors in original data entry prior to processing
- Maintains employee payroll records with up-to-date information
- Distributes disbursement cheques and documentation needed for payroll liabilities
- Maintains accurate records for assisting in the preparation of quarterly and annual payroll documentation such as T4 forms, unemployment reports, mid-year closing reports, etc
- Maintains privacy of payroll records in accordance with PIPEDA and FOIP.
- Maintains the backup role of Corporate Kronos Super User.
- Performs office administration duties for the Western Canada HR Department Office.
- Performs other duties and assumes other responsibilities as may be assigned.

**Requirements**:
**Qualifications & Experience**
- Minimum of 2 years of HR experience required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience administering and processing Payroll required
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset
- High School Diploma or College Diploma in Human Resources; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) is an asset
- Previous experience with an automated time and attendance system (e.g. Kronos, Dayforce) is an asset
- Knowledge of relevant provincial and federal employment laws and regulations
- Strong skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
