Hanson Canada is currently recruiting for an **Accounting Assistant **to join our Finance team, working out of our Toronto Campus.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:*
- Assist with driving the full-cycle accounting process for two corporate entities, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, bank reconciliations etc.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Assist with accurately reviewing, coding, and processing the vendor invoices in accounting system (Quick Books).
- Record and reconcile credit card transactions.
- Assist with commission and refund payment processing.
- Communicate and resolve commission queries with other departments.
- Assist with month-end closing and record adjusting journal entries.
- Perform other duties and complete additional projects as assigned, commensurate with job knowledge and experience.

**Education and Qualifications**:

- One to two years of accounting experience.
- Experience using QuickBooks.
- Minimum of College Diploma or Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Well organized with excellent attention to details.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Intermediate Excel skills with proven ability to work with large datasets.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask, manage priority, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently or along side team members.
- Team-oriented with an ability to build strong working relationships across the organization.
