Estimator - Civil/demolition

Kingston, Canada Environmentall Contracting Services Inc. Full time

**Estimator, Civil and Demolition** is a key member of the Civil and Demolition Divisions (which includes Sewer & Water, Earthworks, Site Servicing, Contaminated Soil and full Structural Demolition). As a member of our estimating team, you will help the company review and determine bidding opportunities, negotiate prices with vendors/subcontractors, prepare bid price and bid packages, meet bid deadlines, and support job setup. You must display strong organizational skills throughout the estimating process including the job set up process. This role requires a broad understanding of preparing estimates for a wide range of projects (large and small).

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Perform detailed, timely and well-organized cost estimates for civil construction and demolition projects
- Review and assess tender specifications, drawings, and reports
- Attend project meetings and site visits as required
- Identify and evaluate risks associated with each project
- Collaborate with project management team throughout bidding process
- Assist project management team with change management process (i.e., clarifying changes, helping resolve issues, and pricing change orders)
- Negotiate pricing with vendors and subcontractors
- Experience in civil construction and demolition
- Knowledge of market conditions
- Strong computer skills - Microsoft Office Suite Programs
- Effective verbal/written communication skills, attention to detail and accuracy
- Highly detail oriented, self-directed, organized, and proactive

**Salary**: $65,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
