**Job Description - Transportation EIT**
Safe Roads Engineering (SRE) strives to provide clients with services and products that are among the best in the industry. We specialize in transportation engineering, roads and highways, transportation structures, precast concrete structures, overhead sign structures, noise walls, supported excavations, and traffic management plans.
SRE is seeking a dedicated Transportation EIT to join our team at the Kingston office, with potential flexible work-from-home opportunities. Collaborating closely with our experienced engineering team and other divisions within the Group, the Transportation EIT will contribute to designing, analyzing, and delivering innovative and sustainable transportation solutions.
**Location - Kingston, ON**
**Main Responsibilities**
- Conduct and lead field studies and reporting (site visits, inventories, assessments, etc);
- Undertake roadway design, not limited to road and roadside safety designs, using relevant standards and various softwares, not limited to Civil 3D;
- Establishing design criteria for road design projects;
- Develop comprehensive engineering designs and drawings for road and highway infrastructure projects, based on preliminary concepts, client specifications, bid documents, and engineering directives.
- Prepare technical documentation, including reports, calculations, and technical memos while supporting with proposal writing, business development, and client interactions.
- Prepare comprehensive contract packages, including design drawings, specifications, and accurate cost estimates. Establishing design criteria for road design projects
- Design / Review traffic control plans and traffic signal plans;
- Identify and participate in the acquisition of new clients and work (research and liaise with clients, network within the industry);
- Support the Project Manager and / or Assistant Project Manager on various projects to ensure timelines and targets are being met;
- Assist in or undertake the preparation of proposals and report writing;
- Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in transportation engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in transportation design software and tools, with strong technical and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Pay: $49,600.00-$62,000.00 per hour
