We have successfully met the geotechnical and civil engineering consulting needs of our clients since 2012. feasibility studies, site assessments, servicing studies, engineering cost estimates, detailed design drawings and specifications, tender and contract administration, site plans, wastewater and stormwater analysis, retaining wall designs, terrain analysis, and grading plans.
This full-time role is based in Kingston, ON, but you will have the flexibility to work remotely for some of the time.
Groundwork Engineering has an exciting opportunity for an Intermediate Civil Project Engineer with advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and demonstrated leadership skills to assist in designing and managing both municipal infrastructure and land development projects. This position is ideal for a Professional Engineer with significant leadership experience who is looking to continue growing their design and project management skills.
This position requires excellent communication skills with the ability to prepare clearly written correspondence, engineering reports and technical studies, and to communicate effectively face-to-face with clients in English. The candidate is expected to work independently and have the ability to delegate engineering and drafting assignments to members of our team. The candidate is expected to demonstrate initiative and provide supervision to the other staff including junior engineers and technologists.
Design and plan civil engineering works, such as roads, culverts, drainage systems,
onsite wastewater treatment systems and stormwater management facilities, using the latest software and best practices.
- Provide detailed production of engineering designs, drawings and specifications for
various civil projects including municipal, land development, water and wastewater, site drainage, road works, and infrastructure upgrades.
- Work from preliminary concepts and sketches into engineering designs, plans and project informational requirements using Civil 3D, as well as other technical software as needed.

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and are a licensed Professional Engineer (P.Must possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in civil engineering design and
planning.
- Experience in stormwater management and wastewater treatment systems is an asset.
- Proficient in using civil engineering software, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, SLOPW,
hydraulic modelling tools and Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and strong computer skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Scheduler).
- Have a strong background and knowledge of civil engineering principles, standards,

multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines and budgets.
- Experience with all government levels, construction standards, contract administration,
