Junior Production Planner

**The duties and responsibilities of the Junior Production Planner include**: Creation and distribution of production schedule/dispatch that is aligned with customer requirements, and monitoring of production performance to plan.

Abuma provides worldwide services to industries in the environmental technologies, clean tech and renewable energy, electrical power, oil and gas, and security and defense sectors.

We are currently looking for a **Junior Production** **Planner** to join our Team in London, ON on a one-year contract.
**The duties and responsibilities of the Junior Production Planner include**:
- Creation and distribution of production schedule/dispatch that is aligned with customer requirements, and monitoring of production performance to plan.
- Issuance of purchase orders to suppliers for outside services (i.e. paint, CMM, machining, coating).
- Investigation of outside service invoice discrepancies.
- Tracking and expediting of parts and supplier shortages and communicating to all relevant parties.
- Processing and updating of customer reports and systems (isupplier).
- Communication with customer regarding revisions, status of orders and ETA’s.
- Facilitating weekly status meetings with production and outside service providers.
- Management of customer returns and rework.
- Printing of job travelers and issuing jobs to shop floor (and materials to jobs), as required.
- Supporting inventory accuracy (cycle count coordination, inventory adjustments, job maintenance for rebuilds/rework).
- Maintenance of supplier drawings and outside service quotes on the server.
- Creation of work instructions for functional areas.
- Assisting team members, and additional duties/projects as required.
**Education, skills, and Job Requirements**
- College diploma or certification in planning and inventory management (CPIM)
- At least 2 years of experience with production planning.
- Knowledge of production processes and steel (types, grades, finishes) would be an asset.
- High attention to detail, strong analytical, and computer skills (Microsoft 365, MRP).
- Ability to: work well under pressure, multi-task, prioritize, and organize work to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A positive attitude and a team player.
