Position Summary
- Under the direction of the Director - Sales, the Manager - Business Sales is responsible for planning, directing and managing the activities of the outside Business Sales team. This team is dedicated to the local and regional business customer base across all Tbaytel solutions including landline, internet, mobility, TV, and commercial security.

Major Responsibilities
- Manage the staff and day-to-day operations of the outside Business Sales team, including management of staff performance and developing, monitoring and reporting on the team’s progress and results with all local and regional business customers.
- Develop, set targets and establish key performance metrics and administer the ongoing variable compensation program for the outside Business Sales team.
- Develop, manage, execute and monitor the results of sales team campaigns and initiatives using Tbaytel customer relationship software and other sources to achieve KPIs and general sales goals and targets (new and incremental).
- Use Tbaytel customer relationship software to establish and reinforce the fundamentals of pipeline management to ensure that opportunities efficiently progress through the sales cycle.
- Develop training and hands-on coaching programs to improve the product knowledge, performance and sales results of individual Business Sales team members.
- Interact and collaborate with the Sales leadership team, the Business Marketing team, Manager - Sales Engineering, and the Manager - Network Operations. Collaborate with other inter-departmental and third-party business partners to organize and achieve project team goals, sales team results, launch new initiatives, contribute to capital, operating and revenue planning, and contribute to inter-departmental and overall corporate success.
- Provide general or customer input, feedback and/or competitive intelligence to the Marketing team related to product development, enhancement planning or sales effectiveness.
- Responsible for Strategic Customer planning, including growth and retention strategies, escalations, participation in new or incremental business opportunities, and keeping other internal stakeholders updated on progress.
- Responsible to identify opportunities and collaborate with other internal groups to enhance the Tbaytel Business customer experience.
- Develop and lead professional sales meetings and participate in business related events and activities on a regular basis. Represent Tbaytel at meetings and events as a participant, organizer and/or presenter.
- Establish, forecast, and manage the Tbaytel Business Sales operating budget.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of and comply with all legislation and Tbaytel policies relevant to the position and the duties performed.
- Perform such other related duties as may be assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
- Completed post-secondary degree or diploma.
- Three years of experience in a sales, marketing, or business environment.
- Two years of experience in a leadership or supervisor role or function
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to deliver effective presentations
- Professional and courteous verbal and written communication skills with the ability to deal effectively with customers, vendors, and the public.
- Experience managing, creating, and/or interpreting budgets and/or financial documents

Preferred Qualifications
- A degree or diploma in Commerce, Business, Marketing or Finance.
- Three years of experience in sales management
- Demonstrated consultative selling skills, sales cycle management skills, prioritization and time management skills
- Strong financial analytical skills, budget management experience, and experience trending and forecasting data.
- Thorough knowledge of the telecommunications industry, as well as a thorough knowledge of, and experience with Tbaytel products, services and processes.

- Must successfully undergo a satisfactory Criminal Records Check
- Required to be available for emergency calls per a rotating schedule with other departments
- Must be aware of, and be competent, and comply with the duties of a supervisor as legislated under the latest version of the Federal Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations and Part II of the Canada Labour Code.
- Use of personal vehicle may be required; out-of-town travel may be required
