An exciting opportunity is now available as part of our regional finance team growth program to recruit a new Americas Region Head of FP&A, reporting to the Americas Region CFO. The role will have direct oversight of corporate financial planning and analysis, including longer term strategic and profitability planning. This role will work also closely with the Region Chair, COO, Geography Finance Business Partners, and other members of the leadership team to build and/or improve upon operational and financial data capabilities, applicable key performance measurements for revenues and operations, and overall region financial performance.
**The role is responsible for**:
- Own the financial business planning cycle and forecasting process with the Geography business partners developing a business plan aligning to the firm’s strategic aims and ambitions.
- Analyze and review the financial results and performance to present executive reports and insightful commentary used to support decision making of operations performance and trends.
- Develop action plans with the Finance leadership team on monthly and quarterly results not in line with expectation, presenting clear and concise options including risks and opportunity reporting.
- Lead all aspects of month end close preparation and results
- Build and maintain on-demand automated reporting for the business
- Supervise preparation and analyze region overhead budgets collaborating with business service partners
- Handle the analysis of industry and economic trends to identify and make recommendations on opportunities. This will include benchmarking against external parties
- Coordinate the data analytics team to provide insight and predictive forecast around various parts of the operations.
- Perform scenario analysis on behalf of the Board, and provide ad hoc financial analysis.
- Leading and motivating a team while looking out for their development needs, setting clear objectives and measures of success/recognition for the team members.
**Qualifications**
- 7 or more years of total experience with 3 years or more directly supervising staff.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or equivalent.
- Professional qualification (CPA or equivalent) or advance degree in Business, Finance or Data Analytics
- Proven ability to produce insightful and accurate information in a timely and responsive manner.
- Experience working with multiple complex finance systems and data flows.
- Ability to listen, demonstrate empathy and remain calm when under pressure
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Digital literacy in MS Office including deep experience in Excel and Word
- Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning solutions (e.g., Oracle/JDE) would be advantageous but not a prerequisite.
- Experience in delivering Continuous Improvement initiatives for finance related processes
