**Manager of Education & Youth Programs**

**Full Time 37.5 Hours per week**

**Monday to Friday**

**Must be available to work some weekends and evenings**

The Manager of Education & Youth programs provides leadership and direction in delivering a comprehensive educational and leadership program designed to increase high school and elementary school academic achievement, access to post-secondary education and the development of leadership and career focused activities and programs.

The Manager will be responsible for working with staff and volunteers to implement all aspects of the program, including the managing of the M.A.P. program (My Action Plan to Education), and increase enrolment and development of the youth programs including Skilled4Success, career exploration sessions, and programs for rural youth.
- University Degree in Education, Social Services or a related discipline or equivalent experience related to youth serving organizations
- Experience developing, implementing and evaluating education and career programs geared to ages 9-18
- Experience working with the education system, including elementary, secondary, post-secondary and job training
- Experience managing staff and volunteers
- Knowledge of the Ontario education curriculum and current approaches to teaching
- Strong organizational and program management skills
- Engaging with parents, guardians, and the community to foster strong partnerships
- Strong facilitation and training skills for youth learners, future leaders, program staff and volunteers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office software - Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
- Creativity, enthusiasm, initiative, a customer service mentality
- Independent, self-motivated and comfortable working with youth
- Attentiveness to detail and thoroughness of work
- Full G Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle is required
- Current First Aid & C.P.R. certification required
- Vulnerable Sector Police Clearance issued by local police station
