**About the Role**

As the Director of Product Management & Engineering and a member of the SLT team, you will play a critical role in successful implementation of the company’s strategic initiatives. Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for successful implementation of DDS’ product strategy and the delivery of its SaaS products. You will lead a team of product managers and engineers to drive entire product lifecycle from inception to production and commercialization, delivering high quality products to the company’s global customers. In your role as a hands-on leader of the department, you will provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to product and technology teams to inspire innovation, collaboration, and execution. This position works closely with the CEO and other SLT members to develop and implement a robust go-to-market strategy to deliver best in class SaaS solutions to company’s global customers to maximize opportunities and drive market penetration and adoption.

**Responsibilities**
- Define and steer product(s) roadmap based on customer insights, market trends, and market opportunities.
- Align product strategy with overall corporate strategy.
- Lead and inspire the product management and engineering teams, ensure successful delivery of high-quality SaaS products to DDS’s growing global markets.
- Drive collaboration between product managers and engineers from product conceptualization to productization and market launch, while continuously validating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Own all aspects of the product lifecycle from inception to go-to-market, ensuring end-to-end success.
- Establish clear direction for the company’s engineering and product management initiatives.
- Develop deep knowledge of the market and product landscape through market research and competitive analysis, to exploit all possible opportunities.
- Optimize technology department’s processes, providing technical guidance and support to product and technology teams.
- Foster an overall culture of innovation, creativity, accountability, and ownership.
- Develop a deep understanding of DDS’s products, markets, and customers.
- Cultivate strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Adeptly handle and adjust to changing priorities.
- Define, monitor, analyze, and report on performance metrics, KPIs, and OKRs.
- Manage the product development budget and resources effectively.

**Skills & Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s/master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or relevant fields; MBA in relevant engineering discipline is preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in software product management and development (preferably SaaS), including 5+ year leading product management teams.
- Strong leadership and team management skills working with internal and external stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of SaaS product design and development methodologies
- Experience working as a product and engineering leader in a B2B environment.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical skill, who can drive innovation.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong ability to communicate complex concepts in an easy-to-understand manner to technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to conduct effective presentations to large groups.
- Strong knowledge of software development best practices, software architecture and design, particularly with microservices-based systems.
- Proficiency in some of the following technical areas: Node.js, Java, C++, Kafka, React Native, EmberJS, ReactJS, Angular, Lambda functions, Kubernetes, Terraform, Jira, Jenkins, Appium.
- PM/Scrum master education/certification is an asset.
- Experience with routing and scheduling systems in transportation industry is an asset.
