At Director File, we are seeking a highly motivated and creative Theatre Production Coordinator Assistant to join our team for a 6-week full-time position. This internship is primarily designed for early-career arts workers from equity-deserving groups.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about executing the creative vision of our team and bringing it to life in a live theatre production of Guys and Dolls. They will work closely with dozens of creative colleagues, artisans, and designers who share our goal of creating exceptional art.

This role requires strong problem-solving skills, as the successful candidate will need to navigate ever-changing priorities and challenges while working collaboratively with our team. The Apprentice Technical Director will directly support the planning and realization of our production of Guys and Dolls.

We are proud to offer this internship in partnership with Canada's National Arts Centre, providing valuable experience and skills development opportunities.

As a key member of our production team, the successful candidate can expect to gain hands-on experience in all aspects of theatre production, including set design, lighting, and sound. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your technical skills, learn from industry professionals, and contribute to the creation of a world-class theatrical experience.

In exchange for their hard work and dedication, we are offering a competitive compensation package of $6,000, based on an estimated 240 hours of work.
