Production Assistant – Live Theatre

We are seeking a highly motivated Production Assistant to join our team for the 6-week duration of the Guys and Dolls production. As a key member of our creative team, you will play a vital role in bringing this iconic musical to life.

Working closely with the Technical Director, you will be responsible for supporting the planning and realization of the production, ensuring that all elements come together seamlessly. Your creativity, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail will be essential in navigating the ever-shifting priorities and challenges of this dynamic project.

This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in live theatre production, working alongside dozens of talented creatives, artisans, and designers. You will have the chance to develop your skills in a fast-paced environment, learning from experienced professionals and contributing to the creation of high-quality art.

The internship is fully funded by Canada's National Arts Centre, providing you with a comprehensive understanding of the arts industry and its operations. Upon completion, you will receive a stipend of $6,000, calculated based on an estimated 240 hours of work.

You will also have the opportunity to work directly with the Stanley Technical Director, gaining valuable insights into the inner workings of a professional theatre company. This experience will be invaluable in your future career, whether in theatre or another related field.
