**Position Summary**

Under the general supervision of the Manager - Communication & Brand, the Public Relations Communication Coordinator is accountable for creating and supporting communication strategies that advance Tbaytel’s brand, image and products and services through public and media relations, marketing, advertising and various internal and external engagement strategies.

**Major Responsibilities**
- Assist with planning and coordination of the company’s public and media relations, including the writing and distribution of media releases, creating media speaking notes, and organizing media conferences.
- Communicate to the public and media as the company spokesperson; provide a public voice on behalf of the organization.
- Develop written copy for Corporate Communication deliverables including community reports, speaking notes, crisis communication and social media posts and provide supporting written copy for website content, collateral, print, and radio, etc.
- Plan, implement, evaluate and monitor the day-to-day social media and corporate communications activities of Tbaytel and assist with the administration, coordination and monitoring of the marketing and promotional activities.
- Prepare and implement individual communication plans for corporate communication and product campaigns.
- Assist in the implementation and promotion of customer engagement through formalized loyalty programs, social media programs, and community partnership and sponsorship programs.
- Participate in the development and implementation of communication programs for both internal and external audiences, including programs such as staff communication and training, planned product or brand campaigns, customer complaint responses, change management, crisis communication, and annual reports.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of market research initiatives. Coordinate and analyze market research to understand customers’ perception of Tbaytel and its brand. Support other sections to implement other market research initiatives as required.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of and comply with all legislation and Tbaytel policies relevant to the position and the duties performed.
- Collaborate with and assist other Communication Coordinators within the Brand Team as required.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned.

**Minimum Qualifications**
- A University or College degree or diploma in, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Business Administration, or a relevant related field of study.
- Two years of work experience in a communications, media, marketing or related role.
- Ability to clearly and concisely communicate; both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to prioritize, make decisions and work effectively independently and in a team environment.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience in copy writing (community reports, speeches, newsletters, media releases, etc)
- Experience in the Telecommunications industry.
- Experience with public speaking, speaking on camera or delivering oral presentations.
- Knowledge of the marketing mix and available media tools in the market.
- Ability to build effective relationships with team members, vendors, media and consumers.
- Experience in coordinating and analyzing market research.

**Conditions of Employment**
- Must successfully undergo a satisfactory criminal records check.
- Required to be available for emergency calls per a rotating schedule with other departments.
- Must hold and maintain a valid Driver’s Licence and current satisfactory Driver’s Abstract (determined by COTB Fleet); use of a personal vehicle is required.
- Must be willing and able to travel within Tbaytel’s serving area.
