Corus Orthodontists is looking for an Accounting Supervisor to join our growing team Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this position will play a key role in overseeing our organization's financial operations. This is a full-time, permanent, hybrid position based in Calgary, Alberta.

**What You Will Be Doing**:

- Supervise the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring compliance with ASPE and company policies.
- Prepare and review financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Review the work of the junior accounting team.
- Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies, trends, and areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support external audits and tax filings as needed.
- Stay current with industry trends, accounting standards, and best practices.
- Review accounting standards accounting memos before submission to the accounting leadership team.
- May be required to perform other related duties and ad-hoc projects as assigned.

**About You**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA designation is required.
- Minimum of 4 years of accounting or audit experience.
- Proven experience in managing and leading an accounting or audit team.
- Proficiency in accounting software; experience with Sage Intacct ERP is highly preferable.
- Computer literate - Strong Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Strong understanding of ASPE and other relevant accounting principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently, in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
