Front Desk Administrator

Alex House (Alex NH) is looking for a community minded Front Desk Administrator located at our main office in Crescent Beach, Surrey. Our office team supports activities at our main site, the Retreat & Events Centre, as well as offsite programs and activities that include child care, community programs, special events, and our youth & family programs.
**Position**: Front Desk Administrator
The Front Desk Administrator is responsible for providing reception services, including supporting the Alex NH team as the first point of contact for the community, serving as the administrative hub.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Engaging with community as an Alex NH representative in person and on phone, overseeing reception activities during each shift.
- Assists admin team with data entry and administrative tasks incl. cash receivable/receipting
- Maintain office supply inventory, and work with teams to purchase supplies as needed.
- Train, supervise and support volunteers and/or practicum students as required.
- Support site rental activities with day to day administrative needs, including rental bookings/invoices, key deposits, and site tours, as well as other program area support.
- Prepare monthly newsletter in consultation with program managers, gathering information and preparing newsletter for distribution - experience with Canva, Unsplash, and Mailerlite is necessary. Experience with Photoshop/InDesign preferred.
- Social Media - Graphic Design - support developing content for posts daily/weekly as required.
**Qualifications Required**:
- 3-5 years working in office/not for profit environment, with increasing responsibilities.
- Interest and experience in community work and/or organizing special events.
- An understanding of the importance of diversity & inclusion, with an emphasis on anti-racist approach.
- Sense of humour, and a tireless ability to problem solve are an asset
