NorQuesters are difference makers and we’re searching for someone dedicated to making a difference to join our People & Talent Operations team as a Talent Coordinator. The Talent Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the college’s compensation and benefit administration for employees within their portfolio. This includes partnering with Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs), Talent Acquisition Specialists, Ability Management, Occupational Health & Safety, employees and People Leaders. This also includes implementing college policies and drafting procedures that adhere to collective agreements as well as terms and conditions of employment, partnering and problem solving with HRBPs, and any legal and legislative requirements. In addition, this position is responsible for the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) updates, developing and running ad hoc queries, testing new functionality and reports in the HRIS test environment, and making recommendations to improve systems. As well, this position is responsible for administering the Long Service Recognition program.

**HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE**
- Conduct employee orientation commencement sessions to advise employees of benefits available through NorQuest College to help them make informed decisions.
- Administer the College Benefit Plans: communicate, enroll, terminate, and make changes to employee benefit plans as well as liaise with benefit providers.
- Administer all paid leaves (vacation, casual illness, personal leave, and special leaves).
- Assist employees with all other inquiries (pension, life event changes, death claims, etc.). Complete necessary documents for submission to appropriate benefit provider.
- Interpret and administer diverse and complex pay and benefit policies and procedures, Collective Agreements, and Term and Conditions of Employment.
- Collect all new hire information and confirm that it is accurate and complete.
- Partner with the HRBPs, people leaders, and employees to resolve issues to ensure accuracy and efficiency with all transactions for salaried, wage, and extension assignment employees.
- Follow up with employees with temporary work permits to ensure a current SIN is on file.
- Ensure appropriate employee records and files are maintained.
- Verify information received from HRBPs and/ or Division heads and update all salary increases, changes to work hours, reclassifications, reports to changes, promotions, etc. in the HRIS. Provide confirmation letters to employees/ people leaders and pass information to Payroll for processing as required.
- Process all employee terminations, resignations, retirements, and end of assignments including vacation payouts, severance calculations, termination/ continuance of benefits, retirement gifts and coordinate paperwork for payroll.
- Generate all employment verification letters for employees and confirm the information for external organizations when requested.
- Assist with project work as required.
- Contribute to HRIS system updates, changes, maintenance, upgrades, and enhancements as required. This includes performing system testing.
- Work with Service Desk personnel to coordinate system change requirements relating to Talent Operations including preferred name, Fee-for-Service Contractors, and Extension Assignments.
- Provides reporting and queries to clients on a routine and ad hoc basis.

**WHAT YOU BRING**
- Diploma or Degree in Human Resources
- Minimum 1-3 years relevant work experience with previous benefit, human resources, or payroll experience
- Experience working in a unionized environment is considered an asset
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills are required to effectively work with all clients and internal/ external contacts
- Requires excellent analytical skills (Strong Analytical skills and a collaborative approach to problem solving)
- Competency in MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; experience with PeopleSoft HR an asset

**SALARY**:$53,754 - $69,838 reflective upon what you bring, AKA your education and experience. This is a full-time permanent position with immediate access to our great pension and benefit programs.
