**Summary**:
Cowan Dynamics is a well-established engineering and manufacturing company of Hydraulic, Pneumatic, and Electro-Hydraulic Actuators and process control systems. We have an international and diversified client base supported by our sales groups based in Montreal and Edmonton.

In this position, you will be mandated to generate technical quotations for the Company’s standard and custom products to our sales team on a timely basis. You have an engineering and manufacturing background, preferably in the process industry. You are very computer literate and proactive and work well within a small technical sales team.

**Objectives of the Position**:

- To ensure a timely, high-quality, and competitive response to customer requirements.
- To ensure that sound engineering practices and procedures are implemented in the pre-order and order entry phases.

**Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Review, evaluate and clarify customer inquiries and technical specifications.
- Identify technical factors in customer inquiries that may affect the cost, delivery, and ability to conform.
- Select, size, and price actuators and controls that conform to customers’ requirements.
- Coordinate with internal departments to obtain the information needed to provide comprehensive proposals.
- In conjunction with our IT group, develop tools to improve Cowan’s response time to RFQs

**Required Qualifications and Skills**:

- Minimum of a High School Diploma. Studies in mechanical, electro-mechanical, or technical-related disciplines
- Strong computer skills and organizational skills
- Written and oral fluency in French and English
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients within and outside the company
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and be accurate with high attention to detail.

**Preferred Qualifications and Skills**:

- Background in engineering or manufacturing environments is an asset
- Experience in a similar role is an asset
- Knowledge of fluid-powered automation is an asset
- Knowledge of other languages is an asset (Spanish, Chinese)
