**Department Summary**

The University of Alberta’s Housing for Health Team is recruiting a Research Coordinator to work on systematic reviews of academic literature and the integration of findings into guidelines. Housing for Health is an initiative that aims to improve the health and wellbeing of community residents in Alberta and across Canada. The project focuses on the connection between “housing” and the neighborhoods in which housing occur (or, the “built environment”) and healthy living outcomes especially active living, healthy eating and social connections.

**Duties**

Research Coordinator will complete tasks such as:

- Read in detail academic literature including systematic reviews and other reviews.
- Comprehensive extraction of data from literature to support academic projects.
- Synthesize evidence from systematic review findings into tables for guidelines.
- Clearly and concisely interpret and summarize systematic review findings for guidelines.
- Contribute to writing several components of evidence synthesis reports in support of guidelines, such as background, methods, results, discussion, and executive summary.
- Assign levels of evidence to specific guidelines based on Housing for Health protocol and in consultation with Housing for Health partners.
- Other Housing for Health duties as assigned and mutually agreed upon.

**Qualifications**
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in Google Drive, Google Docs, and Google Sheets.
- University training in qualitative and quantitative research methods and systematic reviews is an asset.
- Knowledge of healthy living required; knowledge of the built environment and health is an asset.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Public Health, Kinesiology, Planning, or Geography with a minimum of 2 years experience doing systematic reviews required.
- If a Master’s degree or higher (preferred) in a related field such as Public Health, Kinesiology, Planning, or Geography, then a minimum of 1 year experience doing systematic reviews required.
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision and collaboratively with other team members.
