The Built Environment Unit is comprised of the Energy Efficiency Branch and the Community Clean Energy Branch. The Community Clean Energy Branch develops policy and program initiatives to decarbonize community energy systems through the implementation of clean energy projects (both supply and demand-side) in communities across British Columbia, including grid-connected local governments, Indigenous communities, and non-grid connected remote communities, each of which can involve significant negotiation of public/private sector financial agreements. The Branch is highly interactive with all levels of government, Indigenous Peoples and a multitude of differing partners, including utilities, technology developers, consulting companies and non
- government organizations.

**Job Requirements**:

- Master’s Degree in Public Administration, Resource Management, Urban/Community Planning, Environmental Studies or other closely related disciplines. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience developing and administering community programs.
- Experience leading, coaching and supervising a team of multi-disciplinary staff.
- Experience in leading policy development and implementation.
- Experience managing relationships with internal and external partners at a senior level.
- Experience engaging with Indigenous and civic communities, governments, utilities and industry representatives, particularly in a sensitive business environment, related to policy, program, and project development and implementation.
- Experience with community clean energy policy, program, and project development and implementation.
