Job Summary:
**Responsibilities**:

- Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate food preparation schedule
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Monitor and control food/labour costs, in accordance with targets set by AGM and GM
- Monitor inventory levels and depletions, ordering supplies as needed
- Train new kitchen employees on proper cooking techniques and procedures
- Manage kitchen operations during shifts, including food quality control and presentation
- Work closely with the AGM to ensure seamless coordination between FOH and BOH operations

Skills/Qualifications:

- Experience in kitchen management or a similar role
- Experience as a Sous Chef or Head Chef at an upscale or premium casual restaurant
- Fluency in English (essential)
- Fluency in Spanish (asset)
- BC FOODSAFE Level 2 certification (essential)
- A proven track record managing food cost, labour and inventory management
- Experience with ensuring adherence to kitchen cleanliness and safety standards, including creating and implementing Food Safety and Sanitation Plans
- Knowledge of Italian cuisine
- Menu development experience is an asset
- A calm and respectful demeanour when interacting with team members

Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
