Assistant Accounting Manager

**JOB DESCRIPTION**
Vestacon is seeking a graduate who is looking for full-time employment in the position of Assistant Accounting Manager for office interior renovation projects. **This position can be a hybrid role, however, there is a minimum 2-3 days in-office requirement.**
**Responsibilities**:
‐ Preparing, sending, and tracking all outgoing client billing and recording all client invoice payments
‐ Following company guidelines and billing procedures and in accordance with specific per project client billing requirements
‐ Preparing and issuing Statutory Declarations and ensuring compliance
‐ Responding to client/consultant inquiries and resolving issues as needed
‐ Keeping accurate records in the system and updating customer information as needed
‐ Preparing weekly and monthly statements
‐ Support with preparation and analysis of financial reports
‐ Organizing information for bank reporting for month-end
‐ Tracking lien dates and informing appropriate stakeholders
‐ Knowledge and comprehensive understanding of the Construction Act
‐ Calculating holdback and tracking substantial performance
‐ Full-cycle accounts receivable responsibility
‐ Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting/administrative departments in CFO’s absence
‐ Provide support with budgeting and forecasting process
‐ Assisting in the distribution and management of software licenses
‐ Project financial closeouts in accordance with company processes
‐ Managing vendor accounts and negotiating contracts as required
‐ Other duties as required/assigned
**Qualifications**
‐ Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance
‐ 3-5 years experience in construction accounting and/or construction accounts receivable
‐ Must have excellent communication and presentation abilities (verbal and written)
‐ Extremely organized with high attention to detail and analytical abilities
