**The Opportunity**
**Key Responsibilities**
Reporting to the HR Generalist, responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
Recruitment Strategy and Planning:
- Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, job requirements, and desired qualifications.
- Analyze market trends and competitor practices to stay updated on recruitment best practices.
Interview Coordination and Selection:
- Facilitate interview processes, including panel interviews, technical assessments, and reference checks.
Hiring Process Management:
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards throughout the hiring process.
- Facilitate the completion of necessary pre-employment checks, such as background checks, medical exams, and drug tests.
- Coordinate the onboarding process for newly hired crew members, ensuring a smooth transition into their roles.
Relationship Management and Networking:
- Build and maintain relationships with industry professionals, maritime training institutions, and crewing agencies to expand the talent pool.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Previous experience in marine crew recruitment or a related field.
- Knowledge of the marine industry, including vessel types, positions, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong skills in recruitment and selection processes, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing.
- Understanding of relevant labour laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
