**Overview**

Reporting to the Operations Coordinator, the Waiver Clerk is responsible for processing waivers and providing administrative support to operations team. We anticipate that this role should last for 4-6 months with a possibility of extension.

Hours will vary and shifts will occur Monday-Friday during normal office hours. We anticipate that the shifts will be 2-3 days per week to start and may increase during the contract. The days can be flexible for the right person.

**Major Responsibilities**
- Process pleasure craft waivers, including responding to enquiries, issuing waivers, and informing company or vessel of ongoing requirements and expectations.
- Assist with uploading vessel certificates and records to PDAMS Waiver Management system.
- Assist with rollout of new PDAMS Waiver Management and Portal system.
- Assist with training customers on new PDAMS Waiver Portal system.
- Assists operations team with monthly expense reporting, travel arrangements, and general administrative duties.
- Assists Operations Coordinator with coordinating, distributing, and tracking pilot credit cards.
- Assists Operations Coordinator with pilot retirements and exit procedures.
- Coordinates recognition of employee birthdays.
- Provides support with event planning and special projects.
- Additional duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**
- Post secondary education in business administration, nautical sciences, or a related field is an asset.
- Two years of experience working in an administrative or customer service role preferred but will consider an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of the marine industry is an asset but not required.
- Strong computer skills with intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while paying attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent customer service skills

**Compensation**
- Compensation will be based on experience and will range from $25-30 an hour
- 6% in lieu of vacation and 16% in lieu of benefits will be provided
