**The Opportunity**

The Marine Crew Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting recruiting, and the crewing operations for marine support vessels, such as ships, boats, or offshore platforms. They play a crucial role in ensuring that the right crew members are assigned to the vessels and that all crew-related matters are handled efficiently.

**Key Responsibilities**

Reporting to the HR Generalist, responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
Recruitment Strategy and Planning:

- Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, job requirements, and desired qualifications.
- Analyze market trends and competitor practices to stay updated on recruitment best practices.

Crew Scheduling
- Coordinating crew schedules to ensure that the vessels are adequately manned at all times. This involves planning crew rotations, rest periods, and ensuring compliance with international regulations related to working hours and rest periods for seafarers.

Crew Assignment:

- Assigning crew members to specific vessels based on their qualifications, experience, and availability. They need to consider factors such as the vessel's type, location, and duration of the voyage.

Crew Training and Certification
- Ensuring that all crew members have the necessary training and certifications required for their roles on the vessels. This involves keeping track of expiration dates for certifications and arranging for necessary training when needed.

Crew Management:

- Handling crew-related matters, such as disciplinary issues, conflict resolution, and addressing crew grievances.

Compliance and Documentation:

- Support compliance with relevant regulations and maintaining accurate crew records and documentation. This includes records of qualifications, medical fitness, and employment contracts.

Performance Evaluation:

- Conducting performance evaluations for crew members and providing feedback to promote continuous improvement and career development.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Previous experience in marine crew coordination, recruitment or a related field.
- Knowledge of the marine industry, including vessel types, positions, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong skills in grievances and people management
- Understanding of relevant labour laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
