**DURATION OF JUNIOR CAMP PROGRAM**: 5 weeks -June 30 to August 4, 2024
ILSC Education Group is seeking an experienced, qualified, and dynamic leader to take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of our Junior Camp program at McGill Residence.
Our Junior Camp program combines academics, residence accommodations and activities for our young students ages 13 to 17. The Junior Camp McGill Residence Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and collaborating with these separate departments to ensure our students receive a cohesive, quality summer program experience.
In addition to this coordination, the McGill Residence Coordinator is responsible for creating a structured, caring, and supportive environment for our young students through monitoring their attendance, performance, well-being, and general success within the program. The role requires developed organizational skills, a high sense of responsibility, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, a willingness to take initiative and an ability to problem solve.
This is a key management role and a full-time, fixed-term position. Due to the nature of the work, your hours may vary and may be irregular. The McGill Residence Coordinator is required to live on-site at the McGill residence. Accommodation and meals are included during this summer post. **Work Schedule and Timeline**
The McGill Residence Coordinator position is a full-time position, beginning on June 10, 2024. The McGill Residence Coordinator role will be eligible for a project completion bonus, the details, and conditions of which will be communicated during the hiring process. Your weekly work schedule will consist of six days of work per week, with 1 full day off per week. The weekly salary will be $825/week.

**Job Duties and Responsibilities**
The job duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
**Program Planning and Set-up**
June 10-June 21, 2024
- Schedule and plan the on-campus evening activities
- determining any required supplies or materials and provide Junior Camp Program Manager with an itemized list as well as associated costs
- Create staffing schedule for McGill onsite activity leaders
- Conduct pre-program damage inventory with school/university authorities
- Ensure that the McGill rooms and facilities are set up and prepared for the staff and students’ arrival, including signage, first day transfers and staff rosters
- In collaboration with the Junior Camp Program Manager and the Activity Coordinator, assist in planning and leading the pre-camp staff training for onsite and offsite Activity Leaders
- In collaboration with the Junior Camp Program Manager, create and manage policies, procedures, and support systems for the Junior Camp at McGill

**Residence Accommodations**
- Liaise with the McGill university residence representative to ensure open and frequent communication and that residence accommodation standards are maintained, particularly in areas such as food quality and cleaning
- Produce accurate reports for McGill residence team and Director of Juniors Programs on meals, beds,, and any or all incidents and damages
- Ensure that all ILSC Juniors Program rules, procedures and directives are understood and adhered to by both students and staff
- Supervise McGill residence banking arrangements and ensure safe transfer and storage of all finances and documentation
- Maintain accurate financial accounting records for the program, monitoring expenditures to ensure expenses are within budget, tracking leisure costs, managing petty cash, and itemizing expenditures at the end of the program
- Liaise with the McGill residence staff for use of additional facilities, following approval from Director of Junior Programs, Canada
**Staff**
- Plan and lead the pre-program staff orientation for onsite Activity Leaders with the support of the Junior Camp Program Manager, ensuring that all team members have a clear understanding of the Junior Camp summer program, their roles, and responsibilities, and that all staffing schedules have been clearly outlined and shared with staff
- Conduct daily staff meetings with onsite activity leaders; carry out mid-summer and end-of-summer performance evaluations, reporting any concerns or issues to the Junior Camp Program Manager
