The Crump Group Inc., a large & rapidly growing pet food manufacturer based in Mississauga Ontario is seeking a dynamic, results oriented Operations Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to:

**Job Overview**

As the Operations Manager you are responsible for the efficient and effective performance of the full order cycle from submission to fulfillment. You will be called upon for the design and implementation of continuous improvement strategies that target service improvement to all customers. You will be setting comprehensive goals for performance and growth of the team, and leading employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication. The goal is to manage and efficient order cycle so as to maintain a 98%+ on-time in-full customer service standard.

**Job description**

You will be primarily responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:

- Oversee the warehousing operations of 20+ associates covering three shifts
- Direct the day-to-day operations of our warehousing team, ensuring seamless operations across multiple shifts. This includes overseeing all aspects of logistics, warehouse management, transportation, and order fulfillment.
- Take charge of the inventory and logistics teams, implementing strategies to guarantee peak performance. You'll be responsible for managing stock levels, ensuring timely deliveries, and optimizing transportation costs and efficiency.
- Actively pursue opportunities to elevate operational processes, aiming to boost quality, cut down expenses, and enhance overall efficiency.
- Collaborate with the warehouse supervisor to maintain an organized and efficient warehouse environment, ensuring it supports operational demands effectively.
- Play a crucial role in supervising, coaching, and training our warehouse, inventory, and order fulfillment teams. This includes managing the warehouse labor schedule and keeping a close eye on overtime utilization.
- Maintain critical Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), leveraging data analysis to evaluate performance levels and spearhead necessary improvements.
- Ensure all warehousing operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company requirements, maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

**Recipe for Success**
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field is required. An MBA is preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in Operations, Logistics, and/or Warehousing functions, with a proven track record in an operations management role
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive improvements in operational processes is essential
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies, with Black Belt certification preferred, showcasing proven project outcomes
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally
- Creativity in identifying solutions and a strong aptitude for problem-solving
- Exceptional communication abilities to effectively engage with teams at all levels
- Strategic thinker able to identify long-term opportunities and trends
- Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff with a focus on motivating and guiding teams
- A good working knowledge of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), TMS (Transportation Management System), and/or WMS (Warehouse Management System) software to streamline operations and enhance efficiency
