**WHAT’S THE OPPORTUNITY?**
Camino Wellbeing + Mental Health has an opportunity for a creative and detailed-oriented **Events**Support**to help plan and execute impactful events that foster belonging and community engagement. As part of the Communications and Philanthropy team, the Events Support will play a key role in ensuring all elements of events are seamlessly executed. **This role is a part time contract working 25-30 hours per week that will end May 2025.**

**WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING**:
- Ensure smooth execution of all event-related activities and logistics
- Contribute ideas to streamline event planning and execution processes
- Work closely with staff, volunteers, vendors, sponsors, and participants to foster collaborative, positive relationships and ensure smooth event execution.
- Monitor event progress, identify potential challenges, and recommend solutions
- Assist with tracking event performance, including attendance, donations, and engagement metrics, providing data-driven insights to support decision-making and post-event reporting.
- Manage multiple tasks and responsibilities related to event planning, using time effectively to meet deadlines and support smooth event logistics.
**WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR**:
- At least 1 year of progressive experience in event planning, ideally within a nonprofit or community focused organization is an asset.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Ability to anticipate potential challenges and problems and develop contingency plans.
- Strong organization skills and time management skills with the ability to work with tight deadlines
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team

**ANYTHING ELSE I SHOULD**KNOW?**
- **Hours are part-time working 25-30 hours/week.**
- This role requires availability to work occasional evening and weekends for day of events support.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
- Satisfactory criminal record check for vulnerable sector
- Must be able to provide either proof of COVID vaccination or documentation providing a satisfactory reason under the Ontario Human Rights Code for not being vaccinated
- This role is a Practicing Professional 1, Operations (OPS3) and the hourly rate for this position is $20.90 - $26.62
