JOB SUMMARY

Axios is searching for a self-motivated, enthusiastic Inside Sales Representative that is excited to join our team in an extremely fast-paced environment. The position is based at our head office in Toronto, Ontario and reports to the Business Development Manager. Depending on your experience, the position may offer a remote opportunity. This position involves cold calling of new potential clients, referrals, or web leads. Provide potential customers with all services offered and will work to create solutions for their needs and consult regularly through the sales process. This individual must be energetic, well spoken, and eager to close sales and increase revenue.

This is an opportunity for you to grow with a young expanding company specializing in the research and production of drug impurities, drug metabolites, reference standards, isotopically labeled compounds and internal standards for the Pharmaceutical industry.

**Job Requirements and Responsibilities**:

- Understand customer needs and offering solutions and support
- Research potential leads from business directories, web searches, or digital resources
- Qualify leads from digital campaigns, conferences, tradeshows, references etc.
- Create and maintain a database (CRM) of clients and their respective opportunities
- Follow-up with customer quotations and opportunities
- Close sales and achieve quarterly targets
- Track sales performance and other metrics on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis
- Answer customer queries and follow-up call questions
- Present offering and/or information to potential clients
- Identify and use appropriate channels partners, where needed, to help build sales pipeline
- Travel may be required from time to time to visit key customers and/or trade shows
- Perform other duties as required.

**Qualifications**:

- BA/BS degree in Chemistry, business, or related field.
- 2-4 years Sales experience in the pharmaceutical testing/manufacturing industry is preferred
- Highly effective oral and written communication skills
- Comfortable making cold calls and talking to new people everyday
- Ability to handle rejection and continue with a positive attitude when speaking to the next client.
- Knowledge of sales process from initiation to close
- Persuasive and goal-oriented
- Self-motivated and ready to expand new sales, clients, and territories.
- Ability to work independently or as an active member of the team
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
