**TRAVEL EVENTS PLANNER OVERVIEW**:
CAA Niagara is seeking a full-time Travel Event Planner to become part of our committed and adaptable team of travel experts.
The Travel Event Planner is responsible for crafting and organizing both single-day and multi-day tours, tailored to our members' preferences, popular destinations, and current travel favourites. Alongside tour planning, this role calls for the use of outstanding interpersonal talents to market, sell, and oversee these tours, resulting in 10-15% of your work year spent traveling outside the office.

**REQUIREMENTS**:
To be seriously considered for this role, please have the following in regard to:
**Experience**: 2+ years of customer service experience | 3-4 years of experience in the travel and tourism industry | Administrative experience is preferred | Prior experience in group tour planning is considered an asset
**Education**: Post-secondary education in Travel and Tourism is viewed as an asset |TICO Certification (or a willingness to obtain) | First Aid certified (or a willingness to obtain)
**Characteristics**: A motivated and dynamic individual with a keen interest and passion for travel. Flourishes in collaborative settings, finding joy in teamwork. Demonstrates an open-minded approach, coupled with self-assurance and the ability to make decisions, and take the lead.
Valid passport and willingness to travel internationally.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
As a CAA Niagara Travel Event Planner, your responsibilities will be, including but are not limited to:
**Research Destinations**:
- Dive deep into various destinations, identifying unique attractions, local gems, and hidden treasures.
- Stay updated on travel trends and emerging hotspots to ensure our tours are always fresh and exciting.
**Designing & Planning**:
- Design engaging itineraries with a perfect blend of cultural, adventurous, and relaxing activities.
- Create partnerships with local activity providers to offer exclusive and memorable experiences.
**Transportation and Accommodation Coordination**:
- Collaborate with transportation providers to secure comfortable and efficient modes of travel.
- Organize accommodations, ensuring they meet our defined standards of comfort and style.
**Directing & Hosting Group Tours**:
- Lead day tours and multi-day tours throughout the year, ensuring clear communication and collaboration with guests.
- Actively engage in travel experiences by going on single-day tours each month and multi-day tours to maintain firsthand knowledge.
