**THE ROLE**:
We are seeking a highly motivated individual who is looking to join a fast-paced and rewarding position on our regional Bawa Group, Joining the team will expose the incumbent to Bawa Group diversified portfolio of hotel assets and markets. Reporting to the Corporate Manager, Operations Planning and Analysis, the Operations Analyst is accountable for generating recurring analytical reports utilizing various data sources to share operational trends & insights, as well as providing Operations administrative support to the On and Above Property Operations team (General Managers, VP-Regional Operations, Regional Director of Operations, Regional Sales and Revenue Management, and SVP, Operations).
**ACTIVITIES**:
- Gather financial data and operational information from On and Above Property team and validate content integrity and data accuracy.
- Create dashboards and analytical reports; consolidation of information from various data sources and systems.
- Develop and contribute content for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting initiatives - including but not limited to Board Meeting materials, Third Party monthly reporting, as well as other financial and hotel operational presentations - and ensure timely distribution to relevant stakeholders.
- Assist in the operational budgeting and forecasting process.
- Assist on financial projections and market share analysis on ad hoc projects.
- Develop various reports in quickbooks and Excel for the On and Above Property Operations team and provide tools and training to support property and regional objectives.
- Create, validate and manage data mappings in quickbooks that benefit all company end-users by increasing work efficiency when building reports and dashboards in the system.
- Assist in performing financial modelling, market share analysis, and costing scenarios as it pertains to hotel revenue generation, cost mitigation, and/or acquisition due diligence.
- Conduct content integrity and data accuracy validation on a regular basis to deliver quality reports.
- Provide assistance in Property Systems Support.
- Prepare meeting minutes and follow-up correspondence from meetings.
- Assist with special ad-hoc projects and initiatives, as assigned.
**Other responsibilities**:
- Maintain a thorough understanding of current market conditions and economic outlook to incorporate the best insights into the portfolio and Hotel Operations practice.
- Support SVP, Operations, and other members of the Bawa group, by monitoring hotel performance on both a portfolio and individual asset basis.
**COMPETENCIES WE ARE SEEKING**:
**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**
- Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline including, but not limited to Hospitality and Tourism Management, Finance/Accounting, Information Systems, Real Estate, or Business Administration.
- Minimum 2-3 years’ relevant work experience in an analytical or similar role.
- Experience working in hotel, restaurant, or tourism operations is highly desirable.
