We are searching for a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Plant Manager to oversee the supervision and productivity of our floor operation. The Plant Manager will be responsible for the safe and efficient manufacturing of our high quality product, and will lead and support our dynamic and skilled team in meeting, and exceeding expectation.

**Responsibilities**
- Work with Project Managers and Production Planner to understand scheduling to execute deliverables
- Direct production alongside Production Manager
- Grasp, and have a full understanding of Production schedule, and ensure all deliverables of construction for each project is met
- Manage team leads from a floor perspective, being able to deal with absences, questions, concerns, and delivery of day-to-day tasks
- Facilitate trainings on machinery and Health and Safety as needed in conjunction with Human Resources
- Coordinate and direct day-to-day operations of the manufacturing plant
- Oversee all levels of floor staff, including performance, attendance, and hours worked
- Assist Human Resources with labour needs via departmental assessments for hiring or reduction
- Develop processes with corresponding metrics to increase productivity, and process flow. Be able to appropriately present this information to ownership
- Execute approved production and plant modifications
- Coordinate teams and personnel allocation with department managers, including hiring requirements and manage the onboarding process of new hires alongside Human Resources
- Monitor equipment and ensure they are in good working condition, and up to legal/OHS standard
- Coordinate maintenance and repairs for plant equipment as needed, keeping well documented records and logs
- Ensure company policies and procedures are in place and followed
- Must reinforce and promote ongoing culture changes to all floor employees
- Have a strong understanding of Health & Safety and demonstrated implementation strategies
**Qualifications**:
- Demonstrated experience in a management role of 100+ team members including supervisors and leads is a requirement
- Experience in the furniture industry - Understanding of frames, seating components, and general product knowledge is considered a strong asset.
- Aptitude for analyzing and troubleshooting production and operational issues is required
- Ability to follow strict schedules, and support scheduling process
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to take accountability, and assist in the growth of team members
- Maintain integrity and respect toward scheduled meetings and the decision making process
- Strong understanding of manufacturing is a requirement
- Exemplary proficiency with the use of Microsoft Office software and general computer programs. Willingness to learn new software systems as needed
- Ability to be a self-starter - Lead and build with mínimal supervision
- Exemplary verbal and written skills is a requirement
- Ability to communicate effectively, with a strong sense of autonomy
- Ability to identify manufacturing and process workflow successes and areas of improvement
**Education**:
- Post-Secondary education in business, project management, industrial engineering, or equivalent is considered an asset, but not a requirement.
