**YOUR OPPORTUNITY**
Reporting to the Director of Advancement, the Advancement Database Manager is responsible for all database maintenance, analysis, reporting, cleaning and responding to all requests for information as well as the general functioning of the department’s data management. In this role the Manager will provide general fundraising and friend-raising support to the Advancement function during peak periods.
This is a permanent, five-day-per-week position. KCS offers an excellent compensation package upon hire. Your anticipated start at KCS would be the end of January 2023.
**YOUR CORE RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Maintains Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge database for standardization and continuity.
- Monitors records for accuracy and trains users on data entry.
- Segments data, codes records, imports and exports information and runs regular queries for analytical and reporting purposes.
- Create and manage department dashboard for analysis, tracking metrics, fundraising and financial reporting.
- Responsible for all aspects of gift processing including gift entry and the production of charitable tax receipts.
- Engages with industry networks to stay abreast of emerging products, best practices and CRA guidelines
- Conducts prospect research on potential donors and manages prospect lists as needed.
- Provides reconciliation reports to the Business Office to ensure financial accuracy and completeness by running twice-annual receipt reports and BBMS transaction and disbursement reports.
- Supports the annual financial audit by providing back-up documentation and answering questions about donations and the tax receipting process.
- Manages distribution lists for Advancement communication needs.
- Lead on all privacy related situations for the Advancement team.
- Runs donor Annual Report lists and sends them to the Marketing team for formatting and publication.
- With the Director of Advancement, supports the Annual Giving campaign including donor cultivation and stewardship strategies.
- Helps with Advancement special events including Grandparents and Special Friends Day, Grade
Parties, Fundraising Galas, stewardship and Alumni events. This activity involves event registration, managing lists, reconciliation with the business office, onsite support at events and managing third party contracts.
- Provides the monthly reports and other flow information analytics to the Director of
Advancement for the Advancement Committee report to the Board of Governors.
- Assists Director of Advancement with other projects, as needed.
**YOUR QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent plus two to three years of non-profit experience.
- Two to three years of experience with Raiser’s Edge.
- Advanced Microsoft Office Skills including high proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to manage confidential information.
- Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy and good customer service skills.
- Excellent problem solving and time management skills; strong organizational skills, self-motivated.
- Ability to be outgoing, straightforward, self-assured, and one who shares information readily, listens actively, and respects the abilities of others.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Ability to work with sensitive and/or confidential matters.
- Commitment to working collaboratively with staff and partners as a member of a team and promoting that team’s guiding principles.
- Eligible to work in Canada.
